Our responsibility...
As part of our commitment we have focused on environmental training, plant and processes optimization, recycling, improved energy efficiency, abatement of emissions, clean overall appearance, community goodwill, and commitment to safety.
For posterity's sake...Achieving our environmental objectives has also led us to be pioneers for recycling in our area. We currently recycle and reuse asphalt, asphalt shingles, concrete, coal slag, and fly ash. Recycling these materials has helped us preserve our natural resources, preserve the life of our landfills, promote local business opportunities, and lower costs for the consumer. We are dedicated to continued excellence, leadership, and stewardship in protecting the environment, employees, and members of our communities in which we work and live. |

At Hills Materials, we
are committed to operating with good environmental stewardship, complying
with all Federal, State, and Local environmental regulations, and exceeding
customer expectations.
This
effort has moved us towards industry best practices at all of our locations. Our
two stationary asphalt plants have received the NAPA Diamond Achievement Award.
The award is a commendation of excellence in appearance, environmental
practices, safety, permitting and regulatory compliance, and community
relations.
